Listening to the concerns of local residents, Community First New Forest in partnership with New Forest District Council and the police are reaching out to a community in Blackfield in the Waterside area of the New Forest.
Heather Road area residents have received a vibrant leaflet entitled ‘You said…we did!’
The leaflet explains what occurred during the productive multi-agency ENHANCE week which took place at the end of January.
It also includes a ‘living library’ of all the agencies involved which will provide residents with a useful source of reference.
Community First New Forest’s PRIME Co-ordinator Stephanie Bell, is looking forward to receiving some feedback about the week’s events from a short questionnaire in the leaflet.
She explains,
“The leaflet will let the community know that they are being listened to and that there are opportunities for becoming involved in shaping the future of the neighbourhood to help in the development of a strong, safe and thriving community’.
The next Blackfield event planned takes place on 24 April 2010.
Residents are being invited to come along and meet their local New Forest East Safer Neighbourhoods team, the newly elected Fawley Parish Councillor for Holbury and North Blackfield and representatives from Community First New Forest and Crimestoppers.
The teams will be outside Tesco Express Blackfield from 3pm moving onto Heather Road until 5pm.
Stephanie says,
“Look out for the van!”
