Beat the Squeeze – 24th February 2010
There is increased evidence that voluntary and community groups are waiting too long before seeking the help they need to rethink how they can adapt to continue to deliver their services. With this in mind Community First New Forest are holding an event to help you to understand what the government's “Big Society” agenda could mean , and it is also critical that those facing funding cuts seek advice to help consider options for the future. For further information please check out our website www.cfnf.org.uk or to book a place email: admin@cfnf.org.uk

Call and Go receive donation!
Call and Go, Community First New Forest’s accessible minibus service, recently received a wonderful donation of £400 from the ‘New Forest Runners’ group. Every year this local running club enters the ‘New Forest 10’ and hires one of our minibuses for their transport to and from the event. Thanks to their generous donation, our passengers will be able to enjoy some extra trips in addition to their normal shopping journeys.
Call and Go operates across the New Forest and Waterside areas, and if you know someone who is unable to access a public bus service, either through their frailty, or they live too far from a bus route, we may be able to help.
For further information on ‘Call and Go’ please contact Wendy or Carolyn on 0845 602 4326, or email callandgo@cfnf.org.uk.
Redesign of Sexual Health Services
NHS Hampshire are carrying out a consultation with regard to the redesign of sexual health services in Hampshire. You are encouraged to respond to this consultation, please follow the link below to the relevant documents and information.

Have Your Say Now!
Hampshire residents are being encouraged to give their views on plans to change the way they contribute towards their care costs. Currently most, but not all, adult social care services are charged for, with service users contributing towards the cost of the services they use based on their financial circumstances. The plans for a revised contributions policy would bring services under one umbrella and ensure that people choosing from the range of non-residential and short term residential services would contribute based on their ability to pay, not the services they choose.
The consultation exercise on the proposals to develop a contributions policy for adult social care services runs until 31 December 2010.
Full details about all current HCC consultations can be found at ? http://consultations.hants.gov.uk/ or you can contact Adult Services about this current consultation on 0845 6035630 or contributionsconsultation@hants.gov.uk
