The Board of Trustees of Community First New Forest has been nominated for a prestigious award.
The Wessex Charity Trustee Board of the Year Award recognises the Trustee Board that has demonstrated outstanding guidance and governance and which has set strategies which have enabled the charity to achieve its objectives effectively.
CFNF’s Board of Trustees consists of 9 voting members plus representatives from Hampshire County Council and New Forest District Council.
Speaking about the nomination, Michael Clowes, Chief Executive at Community First New Forest said,
“The Board is integral to our management and it is undoubtedly this support and the strength of the relationship between the Board and the organisation which has played a significant role in Community First New Forest’s continuing success”.
The Wessex Charity Awards celebrate the outstanding work carried out by charities in the Wessex region.
Last year's Awards Gala Evening, held at the Rose Bowl, Southampton, was described in the press as the night of the ‘Charity Oscars’, and saw individuals and charities being honoured for their achievements and dedication.
“It is vital to identify examples of best practice within an organisation” said Jenny Warner, lead organiser of the Wessex Charity Awards “and this regional Awards event highlights the need for such appreciation of their contribution to the sector”.
The winner of the Wessex Charity Trustee Board of the Year Award will be announced on 30 September 2010. |
