Members give top marks to Community First New Forest

A membership survey carried out by Community First New Forest has shown excellent results for the local charity.

The survey, undertaken by Community First New Forest each year, is designed to find out how the organisation is performing in terms of service range and delivery.

This year Community First New Forest, which already has an excellent track record in service delivery, has achieved it’s best ever results.

All members who took part in the survey gave Community First New Forest staff the top rating possible for helpfulness, friendliness, knowledge and being non-judgemental.

There was also a 100% achievement for excellence in Community First New Forest’s service delivery in all areas; reliability, helpful/informative, attentive, tailored and individualised support.

Commenting on the results, Michael Clowes, Chief Officer at Community First New Forest said,

“Our aim is always to provide the best service possible to our members.  This year, due to the economic situation we have experienced cuts in funding, and so have had to provide some services with even less resources than usual.  It is particularly re-assuring therefore to know that we have managed to achieve such a high level of satisfaction amongst our members.”

When asked which services members valued most, the top choice given was training with minibus hire, CRB services and general advice and support also being much in demand.

During the year Community First New Forest helped voluntary and community groups to successfully secure funds of £469,000 that supported their local work in the New Forest.

On top of this they helped to recruit and place 110 volunteers with local organisations. In economic terms this equates to an approximate value per year of £188,000 worth of volunteer time.
