Community First New Forest offers a range of services for older people in the New Forest.
As a charity Community First New Forest is able to provide many of the services at a reduced rate and some are even free of charge.
The main aim of all the services is to support older people to remain safe and independent in their own homes.
Community First's Home Support Service offers personal care and companion/sitting services.
They can give occasional or regular support as needed.
Community First have companions and carers able to sit with people at home or accompany them on outings, for instance to go shopping.
They can also stay overnight if the older person's family is going away.
In addition the Home Support Team can undertake personal care and light housework, in fact they say that they will almost certainly have someone who can do anything that needs doing.
All staff are trained and police checked.

Community First's Home Improvement Agency helps older people (as well as people with a disability and those on low incomes) to make adaptations to their homes.
Advice includes identifying repairs, improvements and adaptations; exploring options for funding; giving help with completing application forms, arranging for plans and specifications to be drawn up; organising quotes from contractors whose work has been monitored and; organising and supervising agreed work from start to finish.
The Home Improvement Agency also provides a handyperson service, carrying out minor repairs or adaptations to homes.

Community First's Call and Go is a flexible bus service taking people to set destinations.
Anyone whose travel needs are not met by public bus services can use Call & Go.
This could be because there are no bus services, people live too far from the bus stop to be able to use it or they find it difficult getting on and off public buses because they have a mobility impairment or use a wheelchair.
The Call and Go buses are full equipped and wheelchair accessible and are driven by MiDAS trained drivers.
The service is provided door to door and people are helped with carrying shopping if they wish.
There are several Call and Go routes operating across the New Forest.
For more information on Call and Go contact 0845 6024326 or email callandgo@cfnf.org.uk
