Christmas Volunteering 2017
Here at the Volunteer Centre, we’ve had lots of enquiries about volunteering roles over the festive season and below are some of the volunteering opportunities available locally.
If there’s something that you’re interested in please feel free to contact the organisation directly, using the details below.
These seasonal opportunities are not available via our main site.
Not just for Christmas
Have you enjoyed your volunteering and would like to do more?
Many of the charities and organisations who advertise with us are looking for people who are able to help out in the longer term.
Why not check out over 200 local volunteering roles that we have on our main site at https://www.cfnf.org.uk/volunteering-opportunities-new-forest/ and join the hundreds of volunteers who make a difference in their communities every day.
If you know of any more or are looking for volunteers please contact us at email@example.com and we will add you to our list.
Christmas is a time to be around family and friends, but hundreds of international students across the country are likely to spend the festivities alone on a closed-down University campus.
HOST arranges for volunteer hosts to invite a student from Christmas Eve until 27th December, turning an otherwise lonely Christmas into one of celebration of warmth.
If you would like to invite an international student to stay for a few days at Christmas or any other time of the year, please contact HOST on 020 7739 6292 or firstname.lastname@example.org

- We need volunteers to help us collect food donations from customers for a few hours in their local store.
- Volunteers will be in store handing out the FareShare ‘shopping list’ and collecting donations from customers whilst spreading some Christmas cheer.

The Orangutan Appeal
Orangutan Appeal UK are looking for volunteers to join our office team based in Brockenhurst from October-December with the possibility of continuing into the New Year if the volunteer wishes to. The lead up to Christmas is our busiest time of year and extra help is really appreciated.
You will be working in the hub of the charity and will be surrounded by people who are passionate about orangutans and conservation. Tasks will include hand making Christmas cards and orangutan adoption packs for our supporters.
There may be an opportunity for this to develop into a longer term volunteering role if that is what you are looking for. We would equally be happy to take somebody on who just wishes to volunteer over the festive season.
