Co-ordinating the befriending scheme in the BH24 area which will include:

With the support of the committee, recruit and assess befriending volunteers

Help to ensure training needs of volunteers are met

Assess clients and match them with a befriender

Listening and supporting the volunteers regarding their befriending role

Report on a regular basis to the committee

Deal with volunteer expenses

Compile a list of local activities and support groups for the use of befrienders wishing to recommend additional social contact to clients

Liaise with local groups offering similar services so that facilities such as transport can be extended to our clients
