Ringwood Good Neighbours group are urgently in need of some help

The group aren’t able to continue running without the support of volunteer coordinators. If you have a few hours to spare a month, would you be able to help co-ordinating the befriending scheme in the BH24 area?

This is a varied and interesting role which includes:

  • Helping to ensure training needs of volunteers are met
  • Assess clients and match them with a befriender
  • Listening and supporting the volunteers regarding their befriending role
  • Deal with volunteer expenses
  • Compile a list of local activities and support groups for the use of befrienders wishing to recommend additional social contact to clients

we are looking for a general helper to set up the hall for lunch, putting out tables and chairs, setting the room up. Welcoming the members and putting everything away afterwards


Just enthusiasm is the main requirement and to get on with others

We meet every week with a break for Easter, Summer and Winter
We are a secular group, although we meet in a church hall!
