    This site provides details of volunteering opportunities throughout the UK and is powered by a large on-line database of current vacancies. Do-It allows users to search by postcode, type of organisation and type of work.
  • TimeBank
    This BBC supported campaign gives you the opportunity to share your time and skills with your community. The site allows you to register your details in order to receive a list of organisations in your area that need help, and which match your interests.
  • National Association of Voluntary Service Managers
    NAVSM is the national association for Voluntary Service Managers in the fields of health and social care.
  • Student Volunteering England
    The national centre for student volunteering
  • Youth Action Network
    A network organisation that supports and develops a range of youth volunteering projects accross England.
  • Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP)
    Promotes volunteering by older people and matches individuals with local voluntary opportunities. It operates across Great Britain with more than 5,000 volunteers and aims to involve as many people as possible over the age of fifty.

    Recruits people of all ages and backgrounds throughout the UK with specific business, professional, managerial or technical career experience.
  • Office of the third sector
    The Government office with overall responsibility for the voluntary and community sector.
  • Active Communities Directorate
    The Government unit responsible for supporting volunteering and the voluntary and community sector - recently incorporated into the Office of the third sector.
  • Millennium Volunteers (MV)
    UK-wide initiative to encourage 16-24 year olds to volunteer their time for the benefit of others. Using the strapline 'build on what you're into', MV allows young people to get involved in activity on local issues which they care about using their interests or hobbies as a starting point.
