Vacancies - Healthy Walks Coordinator

We are a friendly and dynamic Council for Voluntary Service for the New Forest District

 

We wish to recruit a New Healthy Walks Coordinator – 15 Hours per week
Salary £18453 pro rata, scale point 20
9 month fixed term contract


Community First New Forest is looking for someone who is qualified to HND level or equivalent in a community or an environmental subject, or have a minimum of one year’s relevant experience.


Based within the New Forest National Park and surrounding areas, your role will be to promote and increase physical activity levels through healthy walking, targeting individuals and communities identified as having health concerns, socially excluded, people with disabilities, young people and people in areas of high deprivation.


Through this role you will be expected to promote the special qualities of the National Park and foster greater understanding and enjoyment of the environment to those participating on health walks.


You will be highly motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision. You must have reasonable knowledge of local and National Government health agenda targets.


The Healthy Walks Coordinator will be a member of the Community First New Forest staff team, but will work with partners from the steering group.
