A fantastic year of support to homeless young people!

New Forest Nightstop has enjoyed a year of charity partnership with Sainsbury’s Ringwood, achieving some significant milestones with the support of the staff locally and regionally.

New Forest Nightstop offers the only accommodation for homeless young people in the New Forest so to join forces with Sainsbury’s Ringwood was a great privilege, helping the charity to inform people about the reality of youth homelessness in the New Forest and the work they do.

Jude Todd, New Forest Nightstop Co-ordinator says “Working alongside the staff of Sainsbury’s Ringwood has been a great support. We raised vital funds through several days of bag-packing at the store, had the privilege of a display in store about our work and substantial support in gaining votes towards our landslide win in the National Lottery Awards. Sainsbury’s also donated Community Grants which will really help the young people in need.”

Sainsbury’s staff took part in Nightstop training and social events, meeting the volunteers and young people and attended a surprise celebrity appearance with TV & press at the Ringwood Gateway building in December as part of the National Lottery Awards.

Jude goes on to say “The team would like to say thank you to Sainsbury’s and we wish the new charity partner every success in the year ahead as public nominations are now open.”
