Gift AidGift Aid

Please remember to consider Gift Aid when making a donation. It doesn’t matter how big or small your donation or whether it’s regular or not. If you are a taxpayer living in the UK, under the Gift Aid scheme, Community First New Forest can reclaim tax you have already paid on your gift. This means for every £1 donated, the charity receives an extra 25p.

easy fundraisingShopping Online

Simply by shopping on-line you can help raise money for Community First New Forest. If you already shop online with retailers such as Amazon, M&S, Argos, John Lewis, Comet, Vodafone, eBay and Boden, then we need you to sign up for free to raise money while you shop!

How much can you raise?
Spend £100 with M&S online or Amazon and you raise £2.50 for us. £100 with WH Smith puts £2.00 in our pocket and so on. There's over 2,000 retailers on their site, and some of the donations can be as much as 15% of your purchase.

Save money too!
easyfundraising is FREE to use plus you'll get access to hundreds of exclusive discounts and voucher codes, so not only will you be helping us, you’ll be saving money yourself.

Donating through your salary

Payroll Giving is an easy tax effective way to make a regular donation to support Community First New Forest. It enables you to give to Community First New Forest from your gross salary (before tax is deducted) giving immediate tax relief on those donations. It is also possible to donate in this way through a pension.

Basic rate tax payers
If you pay tax at the basic rate, for every £1 that you earn, 20p is paid in tax. For example, if you pledge £10 a month, we receive the full amount but only £8 will be deducted from your net pay.

Higher rate tax payers
If you pay income tax at the higher rate of 40% then, using the same example, only £6 would be deducted from your net pay, and at the super rate of 50% only £5 would be deducted.

It is more efficient for higher rate taxpayers to donate through Payroll Giving than Gift Aid as charities are unable to claim back tax above the basic rate through the Gift Aid scheme.

What to do next
Download and complete our Payroll Giving Form and return it to us at Community First New Forest, Archstone House, Pullman Business Park, Pullman Way, Ringwood BH24 1HD

If your company is not registered for the scheme they can sign up with a payroll giving agency who can process employee donations. There is a list of agencies at the Payroll Giving Centre website [http://www.payrollgivingcentre.com/useful%20links.htm]

There is no long-term commitment. If your circumstances change and you no longer wish to donate to us, simply tell your employer. Also, if you change your job, your donations will not be able to be transferred to your new employer – you would need to start a new payroll giving scheme.
