Celebrating our Healthy Walk Leaders

A well deserved treat for all our Walk Leaders happened on a day that was more like Summer than the titled ‘Autumn Walk’.

The walk started at the Jolly Sailor in Ashlett Creek and followed Southampton Water down to Calshot and took a circular route back.

Community First New Forest is fortunate to have Walk Leaders with a wealth of knowledge about the local wildlife and well known sailing boats, although whether it was Sir Ben who was sailing off Portsmouth that day we are not sure!

It kept us entertained and was a good excuse for a break half way around.

All our dedicated Walk Leaders were treated, by New Forest National Park, to a scrumptious cream tea at Exbury having enjoyed a lovely afternoon.

Regular short guided health walks take place every week throughout the New Forest area to help keep people fit and healthy.

These free walks offer a great opportunity to get out in the fresh air and meet new people.
