The Minstead Trust is urgently seeking volunteers for the following roles:

Wood Turning Enthusiast - Working as part of a small team, supporting adults with learning disabilities, on a one to one basis, providing instruction and support on basic wood-turning skills

Skills support with literacy and numeracy - To work one to one in sessions of half an hour with 3 to 5 students on a Monday morning. You would be helping the students with their reading, writing, money skills, telling the time, numbers etc. according to the individuals need and using age-appropriate materials and resources.

Families Matter: Puppet Stage and Sound Crew
Praisin' Hands Puppets based at Hythe URC is looking for 2 people with strong muscles to load and lift equipment from the van, set up the stage, watch the very entertaining children's puppet show and then dismantle the stage and load up the equipment. Any expertise/experience in sound desk/lighting would be valuable, but not required.

Moped Loan Co-ordinator

20 hours per week covering East Hampshire and Winchester areas

(20 hours per week, over four days: 9.30 – 3pm (including 30 minute break)

Salary:£10,502 - £11,871 (FTE £19,430 – £21,962)

Based in Ringwood

We are looking to recruit an outgoing and enthusiastic co-ordinator to support, promote and deliver our Moped Loan Scheme.  The scheme offers an exciting opportunity to help young people to access employment in rural areas of Hampshire.

Duties:

  • All administrative procedures especially recording, reporting and filing
  • Monitoring of moped hire income, taking and recording payments
  • Maintenance of manual and database systems, keeping information up to date
  • Developing an exit strategy with the young person to support them in developing future independent travel arrangements

We are looking for a capable and innovative person with a ‘can do’ approach. You will have excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills and be able to use your initiative to meet the everyday challenges of the role. You will have an anti-discriminatory approach.

Full driving licence and own transport needed.

Wanted – Minibus Drivers
£7.97 per hour, variable hours

As a mini bus driver for our Community Transport Scheme, you will provide a service for our elderly and/or disabled members of the public who book transport from door to door.

Many of our clients require assistance and therefore drivers need to be physically fit with a caring personality.

We are recruiting drivers for the New Forest area.

Applicants must be able to drive category D1 and D1E vehicles and be committed to offering the highest levels of customer care.

Previous experience of driving a mini bus would be useful but not essential.

Community First New Forest is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults and as part of this responsibility, applicants should be aware that an enhanced DBS check will be carried out, prior to employment.

This post requires successful completion of a MiDAS course.
