The Minstead Trust is urgently seeking volunteers for the following roles:

Wood Turning Enthusiast - Working as part of a small team, supporting adults with learning disabilities, on a one to one basis, providing instruction and support on basic wood-turning skills

Skills support with literacy and numeracy - To work one to one in sessions of half an hour with 3 to 5 students on a Monday morning. You would be helping the students with their reading, writing, money skills, telling the time, numbers etc. according to the individuals need and using age-appropriate materials and resources.

Families Matter: Puppet Stage and Sound Crew
Praisin' Hands Puppets based at Hythe URC is looking for 2 people with strong muscles to load and lift equipment from the van, set up the stage, watch the very entertaining children's puppet show and then dismantle the stage and load up the equipment. Any expertise/experience in sound desk/lighting would be valuable, but not required.

Community First New Forest is a friendly and dynamic Council for Voluntary Service and operates Nightstop, a service providing emergency overnight accommodation to homeless people in the New Forest through the homes of trained and approved volunteers.

We are recruiting an Administration Assistant to support the day to day work of the Nightstop service.

New Forest Nightstop Administration Assistant

£18,278 pro rata - £9,880 for 20 hours

(to be worked either Monday to Friday 1- 5pm or 4 days by agreement from 12 noon to 5 pm)

Fixed term contract to 30 September 2018

We are looking to recruit an organised and methodical person with experience of maintaining records, booking appointments, making and receiving phone calls with regard to the service and providing administrative support to the service co-ordinator.

You will have experience in an admin role and preferably an understanding or experience of working with volunteers and/or the third sector.

The role will be office based at our Ringwood office but may occasionally involve travelling and working across the New Forest area and occasionally some evening and weekend work to meet the needs of the service.

The successful candidate will have experience of a busy office environment, ability to prioritise work and have a good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and Publisher).  Also required is a current driving licence and ability to use own vehicle for this role.

Wanted – Minibus Drivers
£7.97 per hour, variable hours

As a mini bus driver for our Community Transport Scheme, you will provide a service for our elderly and/or disabled members of the public who book transport from door to door.

Many of our clients require assistance and therefore drivers need to be physically fit with a caring personality.

We are recruiting drivers for the New Forest area.

Applicants must be able to drive category D1 and D1E vehicles and be committed to offering the highest levels of customer care.

Previous experience of driving a mini bus would be useful but not essential.

Community First New Forest is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults and as part of this responsibility, applicants should be aware that an enhanced DBS check will be carried out, prior to employment.
