Community Transport Bulletin (External link)
Our job is to address transport problems in the New Forest. This could be because of individual mobility difficulties or simply lack of public transport services. We will work with individuals and groups to find solutions to these problems, using the resources at our disposal and identifying other resources, which are available through national and local government grants and voluntary action.
We will advise on any transport matter – if we don’t know the answer, we will know someone who does!
We operate a variety of transport services including the following:
Call and Go
Group Hire with Driver
MiDAS Training
Wheels to Work
Our Call and Go Service operates nine separate routes across the forest using wheelchair accessible minibuses.
All of our accessible minibuses are also available for hire by community groups. Groups may provide their own MiDAS trained driver, but if this is not possible we may be able to arrange for a volunteer to help.
We have a pool of voluntary drivers and passenger assistants.

It is recommended that all drivers of community minibuses undertake MiDAS training. We offer New Driver and Refresher MiDAS training which is normally held at Lyndhurst, but can be arranged at a time and place convenient to you if required.
We also operate a moped loan scheme called Wheels to Work which aims to help unemployed young people in rural areas overcome their transport problems by providing a moped, free CBT training, helmets and gloves.
