Oxfam in Lymington is desperately seeking volunteers for their newly opened shop with a difference.

This is a great opportunity to volunteer in a new Oxfam shop that is aiming to create a slightly different experience for the customer!

You will be joining a small but growing team helping us to make the most from donations; offering fantastic customer service as well as sorting, pricing and preparing for sale a wide range of products.

As we grow our team our opening hours will increase.

Eventually we hope to open 7 days a week - 8 hours per day Monday - Saturday and 6 hours on Sunday, however your gift of time can be arranged to suit you as well as the needs of our business.

Whatever your interest, from customer facing to sorting stock please do get in touch.

Your help will make a real difference.

Cream Tea for Call & Go Passengers

Community-First-New-Forest-Call-&-Go-passengers-enjoy-creaam-tea-outing

On 24 June, a group of Community First Call & Go passengers enjoyed a trip around the New Forest, culminating in a delicious cream tea at The Cloud Hotel in Brockenhurst.

Volunteer drivers provided a much needed opportunity for passengers to get out and about, see some of the New Forest and meet other people.

These trips are particularly valuable as many passengers live on their own and can feel socially isolated.

Everyone had a lovely time, with one passenger saying it was “truly magical” and another saying ”when is the next trip? I can’t wait.”

Call & Go is a door to door weekly minibus service taking residents to their local supermarket.

It uses a fleet of accessible minibuses and the driver will carry shopping into client’s homes if needed.

Last year 9,650 passenger trips were taken.

Additional occasional trips include a pub lunch, visits to Garden Centres and Bingo and Chips.

To find out more about the Call & Go service, social trips or volunteer driving, telephone 01425 461751 or visit www.cfnf.org.uk
