Ringwood Good Neighbours group are urgently in need of some help
The group aren’t able to continue running without the support of volunteer coordinators. If you have a few hours to spare a month, would you be able to help co-ordinating the befriending scheme in the BH24 area?
This is a varied and interesting role which includes:
- Helping to ensure training needs of volunteers are met
- Assess clients and match them with a befriender
- Listening and supporting the volunteers regarding their befriending role
- Deal with volunteer expenses
- Compile a list of local activities and support groups for the use of befrienders wishing to recommend additional social contact to clients
